Troop 80 Committee Meeting
November 8, 2004 - 7:30 PM

Committee Chair - Mr. Johnson:
Presented 10/11/04 Troop Committee Minutes - Committee Members unanimously approved and seconded.
New Adult Training Leader - Tom Mathews.
Tom Loesch sent a message about merging of Troop & Venture, he will be available on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Re-Charter for 2005 can be done on-line and paperwork for changes.
Scout Master - Mr. Martin:
Presented job descriptions and responsibilities to the boys leadership. He will have a meeting with the adult advisor after 6 months of fulfilling their responsibilities.
All Scout need to be in class A uniform when in conference meetings, rank advancement and merit badge award.
Pink Panther need new Patrol Leader.
Attendance notebook will be provided to have the boys put and "X" across their names for attendance on all activities - meetings, camp outs, etc.
Next Tuesday 11/16/04 - Wood Badge beading.
Cycling 25 and 50 miles - need more adults.
Troop Christmas Party - 12/07/04 (Sherry Hu will discuss with Patrick Schramm to have each family bring traditional dish).
11/15/04 at 7:30 p.m. - Monthly Scout Master and Asst. Scout Master meeting.
State park membership fees expires 11/04 - will buy and renew - all in favor and approved.
Popcorn Kernellette/Pack 80 Committee Chair - Susan Krus:
Popcorn gross sale $3K and profit of $1,100.
Popcorn pick up on Saturday 11/13/04 and will distribute to the boys on Tuesday 11/16/04.
Mark Sulzbach - 1 st prize winner wants to share award with 2 nd prize winner.
Pack 80 Wolf has a new den leader.
Need to increase Pack 80 membership.
Mr. Stephenson:
1 A/C shut down will cost $2,500 to replace, Fr. Limanni offered to pay first giving 90 days to repay it back. We only have $800 from can money.
Need to have fund raising.
12/4/04 or 12/11/04 or following Sunday if 12/4/04 rains - Car wash. Will get flyers and drop in the mailbox. Mr. Bailey will get Fr. Limanni's approval.
Annual Scout House usage fee $10 per family - due every January 1 st .
Stove can be fixed for $15 or $20 - can sell through Garage Sale.
Need to sell microwave to raise fund.
After car wash - will inform everyone how much we still need and ask everyone to make additional donation to buy the A/C.
Fundraising Chair - Pat Barrett:
Ads Fee $125 - $1,000 - has forms to turn in at the Scout Fair - 50/50 split. We have $700 for now for the troop.
Advertising - unanimously approved by Troop Committee Members.
Ad forms are available on line - SHAC.
Tickets - 1 st book, 2 nd book to the boy as a patrol activity - Troop Committee Members approved and passed.
Scout Fair Tickets - will make it as patrol fundraising.
Philmont pictures with the boys' need the boys' sign a release form.
Red Hot Scorpion Patrol Advisor - Mr. Velazquez:
Working on Cycling merit badge
Library Books:
Received $100 donation.
Yearly Merit Badge Book Sale - will stamp book (donated by "with the family name"). Will be done on " Code of Honor" - unanimously approved.
Ram Patrol Advisor - Dr. Villalon:
Boys are busy on rank advancement.
All boys have leadership position.
Rifle and Shotgun - need to call Strake to reserve.
Quarter Master - Charlie Lilja:
Need to mark the tent for the top seller of popcorn with the Popcorn Patch.
Diane will get the Popcorn patch.
Treasurer - Leon Howard:
Carol's trailer registration and license plate will start from scratch.
Mr. Wennemark will take care of spare tires for both trailers.
